How to get rid of settings that are clickable on monitor?

Hey, I really need help. You know those buttons that you can click on your monitor to change some settings for example; Brightness, changing the size of the screen (width) + (length).

You can get those options by clicking a button on the monitor. However, on my computer it's suddenly coming on its own. It's really irritating, I have to keep switching it off. Is there a setting to change it?

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Note: As my screen is quite old now, the colours have changed on the screen, its more greenish now, is it because of that? The wire is causing the problem I Think, so if I get a new wire would that also fix the auto-coming screen options?

I really need help, the problems becoming rather annoying :(How to get rid of settings that are clickable on monitor?
This has nothing to do with your computer (if you plug it into another PC it will probably do the same thing...).

Probably a short somewhere in your menu button on the monitor, if it's not guaranteed anymore,

i think it's time for a new monitor buddy.

It has nothing to do with the cable connecting the monitor to the computer. I had somewhat a similar case with my CRT monotor where the Menu would not go away. It stays on the screen even if I push the Exit button. A few months later, the monitor died so I bought a new LCD monitor.

I guess your monitor is also showing some sign of retirement. Get ready to buy a replacement.
