How to adjust the saturation on my monitor?

I just got some images printed and they came out a lot brighter and more saturated then when i was viewing them on my laptop. how can i change my screen saturation to make it more true to life? i already know how to change brightness, but not saturation.How to adjust the saturation on my monitor?
Try adjusting the 'Gamma' it should be an option alongside the brightness etc in display options. :)How to adjust the saturation on my monitor?

in vista its allot harder and doesn't quite work so the only way to do this is by using something like the Huey pro follow this link
