So I have a Dell Laptop and when its plugged in, its great, its really bright and everything. Sometimes I would try take it outside or somewhere else without useing a plug, and the whole brightness of the screen would dim all the way down until all i see is my reflection.
How can I change this? I went to power saving buttons all didnt work, please anyone?Laptop Power Question (Brightness)?
You are on the right track to look to the power management. Set the on-battery settings to run the screen at full power. Perhaps simply press the increase-screen-brightness brightness key on th keyboard while you are using the PC on battery power. Also, if necessary, when you first turn on the notebook PC, there is a hardware BIOS (Basic Input Output System) where the PCs power character can be adjusted. If you need more help with this problem provide the version of you operating system like Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Professional, ... and the model of your notebook PC.

If you hold down the Fn (function)key and hit the up arrow it should increase the brightness.
