My Apple MacBook Laptop screen is not illuminating anymore (it's dim) what's wrong with it?

My laptop, a Apple MacBook, is no longer illuminating. It has become dim and although I can barely see my desktop it's too dark and impossible to use as is. I charged it up fully to 100% and nothing. Before it would suddenly go into sleep mode and all I would have to do was close it and open it and it was illuminated again - now nothing. I know there are two buttons (F1 and F2) used to control the brightness of the screen but this has no change on the problem. What could be causing this and how can I fix it? Would it be something Apple could repair if still under their protection plan? And if not covered does anyone know how much it would cost?My Apple MacBook Laptop screen is not illuminating anymore (it%26039;s dim) what%26039;s wrong with it?
Did you go into the Preferences and select Displays. Maybe the brightness master was changed to 0. Move the bar further to the right. If that doesn't work, you can make an appointment online for the genius Bar at your local Apple Store and they'll look at it and can either fix it quick or give you an idea as to what's wrong with it.My Apple MacBook Laptop screen is not illuminating anymore (it%26039;s dim) what%26039;s wrong with it?
sounds like the back light has failed, yes under any type of warranty they should repair for you otherwise its going to cost major bucks, you could look or a second user screen, but even this might be very hard to find for a macbookMy Apple MacBook Laptop screen is not illuminating anymore (it%26039;s dim) what%26039;s wrong with it?
If F1 and F2 will work if you use them with the fn key on the lower left of the keyboard, then the problem is System Preferences. Go to the keyboard in System Preferences and turn off the option to use the F keys as function keys.
