How come my Dell laptop screen dims on one account but not another one?

So this has been happening for a while

When i log onto my account I wait for it to load up and when its done loading and stuff my screen dims darker

I try to adjust the brightness settings and nothing changes it.



I sign into my guest account and the screen is fine

Ummm.... My best advice is fool around with the settings to try and get it.

Try looking into changing the screen directly, instead of brightening Windows up, maybe even tweaking your video card

How do I know some games work?

One time i got call f duty and installed it and played it a few times but then something changed. The screen became very bright and you could barely see anything, and it wasn't the brightness. I took it to a proffetional he didn't know so I restored my computer, now i dont want to have that problem again...

If you are buying games then it will always have a minimum spec on the rear of the case. You must always read this before you buy the game because it is not refundable if it is not compatable because the compatability is there for all to read so if you buy it you have to make sure it will run on your system firstHow do I know some games work?
okay,it is important that you know you system's info.Your pc has to meet the requirements in order for the game to work properly.You should be able to find your system info in the control panel.It usually is the problem though.

Fn + F7 seems to alternate the display from external(if you have one plugged in) display to laptop display on most laptops (well from what i have read so far).

here's the thing when i try to adjust the video setting in enhancement the slide bars reset them self . all media on my computer shows really dark unless its streaming from the web ..i want to now how i can make it show brighter ....i've already set my screen to 100 brightness but the videos are still very dark....

You did not say which version, so I will assume it to be 11. Also, it would have been helpful to know what the monitor, the video card, and the drivers.



To adjust the video settings:



1. Click the Now Playing Tab along the top of the Window.



2. On the View menu, point to Enhancements, and then click Video Settings.



3. In the Enhancements pane, move the Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and Contrast sliders to the settings that you want to use.
